Infosys lays off hundreds after failing internal assessments in Mysuru

Hundreds of campus recruits who joined Infosys in October 2024 are being forced to resign after failing three consecutive evaluation tests at the IT giant’s Mysuru campus.  Nascent Information Technology Employees Senate (NITES) president Harpreet Singh Saluja was quoted by the Deccan Herald (DH) saying that the number of employees being laid off is around 700, although Infosys admits the figure to be around 300.  According to the Economic Times , 400 employees were called in batches and asked to resign on February 7. The employees were reportedly asked to walk off with a month’s salary and access to some courses otherwise they would be terminated making it difficult for them to be hired anywhere else. K’taka police announce Rs 5 lakh reward for Bidar ATM guard, Afzalgunj shooters

Bengaluru : Karnataka Police have released the images of the two bike-borne robbers who shot dead an ATM cash van guard in Bidar shot dead a travel agent in Hyderabad’s Afzalgunj. Karnataka Police also announced a Rs 5 lakh cash reward for any information regarding the accused duo. The Karnataka Police said Aman Kumar, a resident of Fathehpur Phulwaria of Vaishali district in Bihar and Alok Kumar aka Ashutosh aka Ambani, a resident of Mahisour near Janadhaha in Vaishali district of Bihar were wanted in connection with the heist and murder case. Bidar Police have announced a cash reward of Rs 5 lakh for any person providing information leading to the arrest of Aman Kumar and Alok Kumar.
