Karnataka’s fatality rate below national average

Although Karnataka has been seeing record spikes in Covid-19 deaths in August — the toll crossed the 5,000 mark this month — the state’s overall case fatality rate has consistently stayed below 2%, even as a delay in acknowledging fatalities has plagued reporting.

Bengalore: Coming down heavily on the Congress for demanding a ban on the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) on the lines of the Popular Front of India, the ruling BJP has equated the PFI with the Congress.
