Ramp up Covid testing: Gouv asks Ktaka govt

In a move that sparked a lot of speculations, Karnataka governor Vajubhai Rudabhai Vala summoned chief minister BS Yediyurappa and home minister Basavaraj Bommai to Raj Bhavan on Friday morning and asked the government to supposedly increase the Covid-19 testing and also to clamp down on the supposed increase in the smuggling of drugs in Gutka packets.

Bengaluru: Congress-ruled Karnataka government is all set to launch the Shakthi scheme on Sunday which facilitates free bus travel for all women in state owned Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC), Bengaluru Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) and other corporations.
