K'taka govt rolls back 30% cut in school syllabi

With the pruning of chapters on Mysuru ruler Tipu Sultan and the Constitution creating a furore, the state government on Wednesday asked the Karnataka Text Book Society (KTBS) to withdraw its truncated syllabus and republish it after reexamining all chapters.

Bengalore: Coming down heavily on the Congress for demanding a ban on the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) on the lines of the Popular Front of India, the ruling BJP has equated the PFI with the Congress.
