K'taka: Magnificent nocturnal gecko discovered

Researchers have discovered one of the largest and nocturnal dwarf gecko from Sakleshpur in Hassan. The new species has been named ‘Cnemaspis magnifica’, derived from the word magnificent due to its striking features, conspicuous colour pattern, and large size. The common English name for this gecko is ‘Magnificent dwarf gecko’.
