K'taka coastal districts record 53 Covid cases

A SSLC student, two inter-district bus crew, a cloth store merchant was among nine persons who tested positive in Udupi on Tuesday. On a day 53 fresh coronavirus cases were reported in erstwhile undivided Dakshina Kannada district, Udupi also logged its third fatality to the pandemic with a 48-year-old liver cirrhosis patient who had returned from Mumbai succumbing to the disease and swabs confirming him positive post-death.
