Bengaluru doctors save 25 yr old mother suffering from acute liver failure

New Delhi: Doctors in Bengaluru on Wednesday successfully treated a 25-year-old mother suffering from dengue-induced acute liver failure. Sonali (name changed) was travelling from Rajasthan to Bangalore, for a joyous occasion when amid the celebrations she suddenly developed acute chills and in a very short time her condition worsened profusely. Her condition rapidly deteriorated, leading to severe internal bleeding, multiple hematomas, and a critical drop in platelet and blood counts. Initial treatment at a local hospital included transfusions of 20 to 25 units of blood products. Despite this, she developed lung complications and significant swelling due to bleeding spots, with doctors warning that she might need a liver transplant. Seeking a more definitive solution, her family was guided to the liver team at Aster RV Hospital. “When Sonali was admitted, she was nearly unconscious, with multiple organs affected. Bengaluru doctors treat 39-year-old with severe uterine prolapse

New Delhi: Doctors in Bengaluru on Tuesday, August 20, successfully treated a 39-year-old mother of two with stage III uterine prolapse, a condition where the uterus slips out of its normal position.  Her condition was so advanced that her uterus was protruding through the vagina, a rare occurrence for someone her age, as this typically happens post-menopause. The patient had been independently managing her household responsibilities, including heavy lifting, which worsened her condition. Her symptoms included severe back pain, chronic lower abdominal pain, discomfort between her thighs due to the bulging, and difficulty emptying her bladder, which could have led to kidney swelling. These symptoms significantly disrupted her daily life and well-being. After four years of suffering and multiple recommendations for a hysterectomy from various hospitals, she sought a less invasive alternative, hoping for a breakthrough. Bengaluru : Chief Minister Siddaramaiah filed a writ petition in the Karnataka High Court on Monday seeking to quash Governor Thaawarchand Gehlot’s order giving sanction for prosecution against him in the Mysuru Urban Development Authority (MUDA) land scam. Siddaramaiah in his petition alleged that, “The Hon’ble Governor’s decision is legally unsustainable, procedurally flawed, and motivated by extraneous considerations, and thus the petitioner (CM Siddaramaiah) has preferred this writ petition seeking to quash the impugned order dated August 16, 2024 amongst other reliefs.” “The petitioner submits that the sanction order was issued without due application of mind, in violation of statutory mandates, and contrary to constitutional principles, including the advice of the Council of Ministers, which is binding under Article 163 of the Constitution of India,” the petition claimed. Bengaluru: Karnataka Police on Monday lodged an FIR against the hostel management staff for negligently spraying rodent repellent on the premises resulting in the hospitalisation of 19 students in Bengaluru. The incident took place at the Adarsha College of Nursing near Amma Ashram in Jnanabharathi police station limits on Sunday.
