Centre has hacked Gruha Laxmi scheme app alleges Karnataka minister

Bengaluru : Karnataka PWD Minister Satish Jarkiholi on Tuesday levelled serious allegation against the central government for hacking the Gruha Laxmi Scheme App. Under the Gruha Laxmi scheme, the Congress government is planning to provide Rs 2,000 monthly allowance to all women heads. It is one of the five guarantees assured to voters by the Congress during the recently held election. Reacting to BJP’s charge that the guarantee schemes are announced without preparation, Satish Jarkiholi said: “We had planned well. But our machine is being hacked by the central government in the same manner as Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) are hacked. That is why the implementation of the Gruha Laxmi scheme is getting delayed. The app through which the applications are received is being hacked by the central government. Karnataka CM orders to track down origin of fake news campaigns

Bengaluru: Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has directed authorities to track down the origins of fake news campaigns, his office announced in a statement on Tuesday. According to the statement, order has been issued following rampant fake news campaigns being carried out on social media platforms after the new Congress government assumed power in the state. The officers have also directed to identify those who are spreading false news and initiate legal action against them. Siddaramaiah had a detailed discussion with state Home Minister Dr. G. Parameshwara regarding the order, the statement added. “In 2013, when the then Congress government assumed power, the fake news menace had cropped up. Congress announces ex-CM Jagadish Shettar two others as candidates for MLC bypolls

Bengaluru : The Congress in Karnataka has fielded former chief minister Jagadish Shettar, Minister NS Boseraju and Tippannappa Kamaknoor for the June 30 bypolls to the state’s Legislative Council, it said on Monday. The three seats fell vacant following the resignations of Baburao Chinchansur, R Shankar and Laxman Savadi to contest the assembly elections. While Savadi won the election from his seat, Chinchansur and Shankar lost. The new MLCs will be elected by the MLAs. “Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge has approved the proposal for the candidature of the following persons as Congress candidates to contest the bye-elections to the Legislative Council of Karnataka to be elected by the MLAs: Jagadish Shettar (term up to 14.06.2028), Tippannappa Kamaknoor (term up to 30.06.2026) and NS Boseraju (term up to 17.06.2024),” the AICC said in a statement. Karnataka Cong lodges complaint against Nadda Amit Malviya

Bengaluru: Karnataka Congress on Monday lodged a complaint against BJP National President J.P. Nadda and party’s IT Cell head Amit Malviya, with the High Grounds police in Bengaluru, in connection with publishing derogatory posts against Congress leaders. The complaint has been lodged by Minister for RDPR and IT and BT Priyank Kharge and KPCC Spokesperson Ramesh Babu for releasing an animated video of Rahul Gandhi, claiming that Congress is indulging in anti-national activities. The complaint has also been lodged against Chandigarh BJP State President Arun Sood. Bengaluru: Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah launched a fresh attack on the state and central BJP leadership after the Centre discontinued the sale of wheat and rice from the Food Corporation of India (FCI) warehouses to state governments, saying that they were trying to “scuttle” the Anna Bhagya Scheme and playing politics on foodgrains for the poor. The Siddaramaiah government plans to roll out its second guarantee, the Anna Bhagya scheme providing 10 kg foodgrains per person per month to all BPL families in the state from July 1.
