MNC manager in Bengaluru lodges sexual harassment complaint against colleagues

Bengaluru: An FIR has been registered after a senior female employee in an MNC in Bengaluru complained of sexual harassment by her colleagues, police said on Monday. The incident had taken place in Cubbon Park police station area. Congress calls Karnataka leaders meet to devise action plan for LS polls

Bengaluru : Karnataka Congress president D.K.Shivakumar stated on Monday that the Congress high command has called a meeting of state leaders to chalk out the strategy for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections in 2024. Bidar : In a shocking incident in Karnataka’s Bidar district, a man raped his minor daughter and is currently absconding, police said on Monday. The incident had taken place in the limits of Basavakalyan police station. The accused used to gag his daughter when the other family members were asleep and take her to commit the crime. Bengaluru: Two students of a private college in Karnataka’s Davangare committed suicide after a video depicting them in an intimate moment surfaced on social media. The scene of the boy and girl on the terrace of their college was shot by some unknown person, without their knowledge. However, these scenes went viral on social media platforms recently and the families of the two also came to know of the clips. The girl committed suicide at her residence on Friday night and the boy on coming to know of this took his life late Saturday night. Bengaluru : The BJP party on Thursday staged a state-wide protest in Karnataka demanding the arrest of three Muslim girls who allegedly filmed a Hindu girl student in a college restroom. The protest turned violent in Bengaluru, when the BJP party activists, members of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) and BJP Yuva Morcha tried to barge inside the premises of the residence of Home Minister Dr G. Bengaluru: Former Union Minister and BJP MP from Karnataka’s Davanagere constituency, G.M. Siddeshwara, has filed a complaint after receiving multiple calls including an obscene video call from an unknown woman, the police said on Wednesday. Police said that the calls were received from an unknown number. The 71-year-old MP initially got repeated calls from the unknown woman which he did not answer. Vijayapura : An earthquake of 2.4 magnitude was felt in the Basavana Bagewadi taluk region of the Vijayapura district on Tuesday. Panic gripped the people as the area was battered by the heavy and incessant rain and floods. According to the Karnataka State Natural Disaster Monitoring Committee (KSNDMC), the earthquake of lighter magnitude of 2.4 had occurred at 9.55 a.m.. Bengaluru Suburban Railway: Approval for Phase 2 of additional 452 km sought

Bengaluru: The Karnataka Rail Infrastructure Development Company Ltd (K-RIDE) has prepared a new proposal of 452-km length to extend the Bengaluru Suburban Rail Project (BSRP) to nearby cities and towns and has sought the approval of the Railways Ministry to conduct the pre-feasibility study, a state government statement said. Large and Medium Industries and Infrastructure Development Minister M.B. Patil said that the new proposal puts forth the plan to extend the BSRP network to Kolara, Tumakuru, Mysuru, Bangarapete, Hosuru, and Gauribidanur cities. The couple from Vellore, according to police, was part of a gang of highway robbers, that intercepted Mallesh, a farmer from Hiriyur in Chitradurga district, at Chikkajala on July 8 and demanded compensation claiming that his truck had bumped into their car.
